Hydraulic Hose Technician

Workshop or Mobile Service Truck

Due to our continued growth we have multiple positions available for suitably qualified Hydraulic Hose Technicians within our workshop or mobile service truck department.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Undertaking servicing, diagnostics or repairs on heavy road transport or trucks for customers onsite or within our busy workshop
  • Attending customer breakdowns as needed
  • Service and repair to hydraulic components and systems in the workshop or onsite
  • Hose making as required
  • Replenish stock in truck on a regular basis adhering to stock control procedures
  • Provide own tooling necessary to undertake core duties per trade
Skills and Experience
  • Previous experience is essential
  • Trade qualified – heavy diesel, fitter & turner, fitter machinist all suitable
  • Experience in hydraulics would be beneficial
  • A strong work ethic and pride in workmanship
  • LR licence needed
  • Flexibility with working hours as "after hours" availability is a pre-requisite
  • Ability to work well within a team

WAREHOUSE STOREMAN - stock control

Due to our continued growth we are searching for a suitably experienced Warehouse Storeman – Stock Control to play a vital part in our Warehouse team.
The primary purpose of this position is to manage inventory in Darwin including warehouse, truck, workshop, front showroom and container locations ensuring efficiency and accuracy at all times.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage stock control at Darwin locations including reordering, receiving and transfer procedures
  • Implement and participate in cyclic stock takes on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual basis
  • Investigate and resolve inventory balance queries
  • Work towards moving/ selling old stock first to ensure turnover
  • Identify and drive inventory control process improvements
  • Provide assistance to all staff to ensure compliance with inventory procedures
  • Develop min/max levels to minimise inventory cost while maintaining customer service requirements
  • Review and implement revised warehouse layout to ensure efficient picking of high turnover items
Skills and Experience
  • Previous advanced warehouse or spare parts automotive industry experience
  • Proven stock control ability in similar role
  • Practical hands on attitude and team player
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi task
  • Computer proficient
  • Forklift licence
  • Strong and demonstrated commitment to customer service
  • Current "C" Class drivers licence
  • Hydraulic and industrial hose knowledge highly regarded
